Chapter One: Introduction
1.1 Background of the Study
The accessibility of event venues is a critical factor that significantly influences the success of events, encompassing aspects such as attendance rates, participant satisfaction, and overall event outcomes. In Dutse LGA, Jigawa State, the availability and accessibility of venues for various events—ranging from cultural festivals to trade fairs and community gatherings—play a pivotal role in their success. Accessible venues attract a diverse audience, reduce logistical challenges, and ensure inclusivity for individuals with disabilities. However, challenges such as poor road infrastructure, inadequate parking facilities, and limited public transport options often hinder venue accessibility, impacting event success. This study examines the influence of venue accessibility on the success of events in Dutse LGA, highlighting key factors that determine accessibility and proposing strategies to enhance event outcomes.
